Lucky Clover Quilt Block

Lucky Clover Quilt Block

I’m back for another Block Mania Tuesday! It’s been such a joy designing and creating all these unique blocks for this year’s Block Mania. November’s theme challenged us to make something you’d find in a market or shop, so I chose to design the Lucky Clover Quilt Block. It features a Purple Shamrock preserved in a cloche.

Why a Plant Themed Quilt Block?

Lately, I’ve fully embraced my inner plant mama! Taking care of my plants has become my favorite way to unwind from life’s stresses, especially since quilting—my beloved hobby—has turned into something I hope to make a career. So now, my indoor plants are my go-to stress relief. I may have gone a bit overboard, with about 60 Hoyas spread around my home! Thankfully, my husband loves it; he sees my plants as part of our décor. Watching them grow has been incredibly rewarding, and if you’re patient, you might even be lucky enough to catch them in bloom!

I have so much fun going to farmers markets, plant swaps that include a plant themed market and all plant shops. I am amazed that each and every time I see something I have never seen before.

The Lucky Clover Quilt Block just makes me smile—it’s a nod to luck, nature, and growth. I can’t wait to stitch all of this year’s blocks together into one beautiful quilt and see how it turns out! Have you been sewing these blocks with me? I’d love to see your work! Feel free to send me an email so I can share them.

November has come and gone you can now get the Lucky Clover Quilt block in my shop.
