Diamondback Quilt Block

Happy Tuesday!!

Hey there quilters! It’s another Block Mania Day, and I am joining in again. This month, we’re diving headfirst into the arid beauty of the desert. As someone who calls the desert home, I couldn’t be more thrilled to share my latest creation with you all. I’m proud to present my Diamondback Quilt Block..

The Diamondback Quilt Block

You might have noticed that my block designs for this year’s block mania all share a similar style — a blend of fun, funky, and just a touch of quirky. My goal is to create a quilt with all my finished blocks at the end of the year, and I am so happy to be able to add this block to the growing pile. Now, I’ll admit, raw edge appliqué isn’t typically my go-to technique, but for this design, it was perfect. And let me tell you, it made putting together this month’s block an absolute breeze.

I’m particularly excited about this block because it captures the essence of the desert. From the intense heat of the sun to the rugged beauty of the landscape, there’s something truly magical about the desert — and I hope this block brings a little piece of that magic into your quilting projects.

And the best part? You can get your hands on this block for free this month! Just fill out the form below. It will automatically email a link for you to download the pattern. If you are already on my email list, don’t worry, you can use the same email address and you will get an extra star by your name. The form is automated and will email you the block whether you are a current subscriber or if you are a new subscriber. If you don’t receive the email, don’t forget to check your spam folder. It probably found its way into that folder, but if you have any trouble, please let me know.
