Celestial Twilight Quilts!

Celestial Twilight Quilts!

I Finished My First Celestial Twilight Quilt!

I am so excited!! I finished one of the Celestial Twilight quilts I made blocks for during the Celestial Twilight Summer Block Party. And I mean finished—quilted, bound, the whole nine yards! There is something so satisfying about putting that final stitch in the binding and getting to hold a completed quilt.

I have thoroughly enjoyed putting all of these blocks together. Every week introduced a different technique and design style, making the project feel fresh and exciting from beginning to end.

Let’s take a look back at the blocks we created together.

The Blocks

Looking Glass – Free Sign-Up Block

A Little Behind the Scenes...

I was so focused on getting my Sparkling Star block just right that I ended up making about ten test blocks! They definitely didn't go to waste, though. I felt ahead, which allowed me to make not one but two Celestial Twilight Quilts.

I made a wrap-around skirt that I wore to OCTO! It was such a fun project, although I have to admit I was still sewing on it the night before we left. Nothing like a last-minute finish!

And I have a fun project that I will be sharing with you on Friday.

So Many Possibilities

One of the things I love most about this collection is how versatile the blocks are. Of course, you can make one of the suggested quilt layouts, but why stop there?

I'm already dreaming about making:

  • A table runner
  • A mini quilt
  • Wall hangings
  • Pillows
  • The more blocks you make, the more possibilities and layout options you have for more Celestial Twilight Quilts!

The possibilities really are endless!
