✨ Did You Miss It? At the end of last month, I released the Constellation Crumb Quilt Pattern—and I am so excited about this one.
This pattern invites you to dig deep into your scrap bin and create something truly special: a magical scrappy star quilt. And yes, I mean magical because it really feels like we’re turning nothing into something beautiful. It’s one of those moments where one person’s trash becomes another person’s treasure.
One of my favorite things about this quilt is how every single star center comes together differently. No two twinkle alike, and that’s part of the charm.
I actually turned all of my star centers into a coloring book so you can really study how they came together and use that as inspiration for your own quilt. You’ll find that (along with a printable template page and a scrappy tutorial on the star centers) on the Pattern Extras page. Access to that comes with your purchase.

🧵 Flexible Fabric Options
My favorite part of this pattern might just be how flexible it is when it comes to fabric.
I used about 2 yards of a single background fabric, so that’s how the pattern is written. But you have options:
- Want a clean, cohesive look? Use yardage for your background
- Prefer a mix? Combine yardage with scraps
- Want to go fully scrappy? Use scraps for everything
There’s no right or wrong here—only exploration.

💛 Tester Spotlight
My testers mean the world to me, so I’m truly honored to share their work—and I thought today would be the perfect day.
Debbie’s Scrappy Stars
This is what Debbie had to say about working on the pattern:
“I ABSOLUTELY love this pattern for using scraps! I tried to just do a wall hanging, but I ended up making 4 because it was so satisfying to see my awesome scrap pieces together in another project. I will put the 4 together for a sweet baby quilt…”

I love this so much. I’m very much a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants quilter, so I absolutely welcome these kinds of creative interpretations. I honestly swoon over what you all create.
And can we talk about her color choices? Those blues are just perfect. Definitely adding a blue version to my own list!
Rachel’s Scrappy Pillow
Rachel took a different approach and turned her block into a pillow—and it is so beautiful. Her scraps come together to create a bold star that gives me happy vibes. This is such a perfect handmade touch for a home. She actually made this to go with a baby quilt.
She elevates that piece by adding embroidery to the back, creating such a meaningful and personal detail. Those little additions make a project feel extra special.
