Welcome to the second rollout (see rollout #1) of the month. Today, I’m featuring my Vines Quilt Pattern, the first quilt out of three, made using the Jack and The Beanstalk design by me, Elisabeth DeMoo. I wanted to talk a little about the color way I used when I designed this line. My color choices were yellow, green, coral, and blue because when they’re combined they beautifully complement each other; but when you take them apart and just use two colors, they turn into the perfect blend for a little boy (green and blue) or a little girl (coral and yellow) making this line versatile. These are the colors that I think of when I think spring, happy, soft, and tranquil.
It was really hard for me to decide what quilts to make using this collection. I can really get lost in all of the possibilities…they can be endless. But when it came down to it, I thought this pattern was a must. The fact that it worked perfectly with the Beanstalk idea (being a vine), is just icing on the cake. Every quilter needs to make a herringbone quilt at least once in their life. Here’s the pattern to get it done.
The Vines Quilt Pattern & Fabric
This quilt is easy and so cute when done, perfect for a baby room or to snuggle with on the couch. To buy a layered cake or charm pack of Jack and the Beanstalk go to Bernina Sewing and Design or my Etsy shop. If you want if to buy yards of it, go to my Spoonflower shop.
Get your copy of the Vines Quilt pattern in my Etsy shop. I would love to see what you’ve created using this pattern or fabrics, use the hashtag #abeanstalkaffair. Also feel free to share your thoughts as well.
I want to send a special shout out to Michelle from Brown Bird Designs. I could not have done this without you.
