Over the holidays I was invited to a few different friends homes for a party or two. Luckily I was able to put together some hostess gifts on the fly. In my pantry I like to keep on hand a few jars of gourmet dips. I pair wheat crackers with dips like Artichoke Lemon Pesto, Asparagus Asiago Bruschetta, and Mediterranean Feta Cream Cheese. I add in a bottle of locally crafted wine. Put all of these items in a super cute tote or book bag and BAM, I have a great gift in minutes.
This has really just fed my bag fetish which has led me to this post. I made this lovely book tote for Valentines day. They are very simple and fun to make. I will be adding 3 to my etsy store and I am pricing them at $10. Get them while the getting is good.
New Years Resolution – Book bag and more
I got the book bag pattern from a book that I bought quite some time ago. The Bag Making Bible by Lisa Lam. My goal for this year is to sew through the whole book. There are a total of 7 different bags so this is not an unreachable goal. By the time I finish all of these great patterns I hope to be an expert at bag making. I am off to a good start… Next up – reversible bucket bag.
