I just got the new Quilting Modern book. It is phenomenal. I love the patterns for the quilts and the tips that they give are great too. I am planning on making at least two of the quilts designed by the authors, Jacquie Gering and Kate Pedersen. I really did not know anything about these two ladies before I bought the book but now I am eager to follow them. I think the thing that stuck out the most for me was the finishing on their quilts. When I look at how they quilted the quilts, I am stunned. They used different stitching in different parts of the quilts. Once I wrap my head around the way they do this, I might just have to try it.
