Green Stuff – Juice

Green Stuff – Juice

Lately I have been getting a lot of use out of my juicer. Having a glass of fresh pure juice is incredibly refreshing. Over the past month, I have made watermelon water, cantaloupe water, carrot/orange juice, carrot/mango/blueberry juice, and Green Stuff.

What, you might ask, is in this Green Juice?

It is a combination of two and a half apples (2.5), a half a cucumbers (.5), and an inch of ginger (1″). It is tart and spicy but tastes amazing and fresh and it’s my favorite!

Juicing can be a great way to eat the 6 to 8 servings of fruits and veggies you need to eat in one day. That is not always easy to do. Pulling out the juicer, preparing the fruit, and cleaning up after… it after all takes time. However drinking store-bought juice has too much sugar for my family. That is why juicing is so great. It is 100% natural and you can’t get more perfect than that.

On the flip side,  it takes a lot of fruit to make a good amount of Green Juice. I make the recipe 4 times, that way I can put some in the refrigerator so we can drink it for a couple of days. My tip for you is to compost all the left over fibers from the fruit so there is no wast.

My juicer is the Breville. It is easy to use, kind of compact and I just put most of the parts in the dishwasher to clean them. If you try the recipe let me know what you think. Also tell me what your favorite juice is. I would love to try it.

If you like blog posts about food let me know. It is a little off topic but is a question that is connately rolling around in my head… What’s are we going to eat?
