I’m over the moon to share some exciting news… It’s time for another pattern release party!! My newest quilt pattern, Garden Star 6, is here! This is the perfect addition to the Garden Star series and is sure to delight both beginners and seasoned quilters with its captivating design that is easy to assemble. So, pour yourself a cup of (insert your favorite drink), and let’s dive into the magic of quilting together!
Can you keep a secret? I am actually making this quilt for my nephew’s family; they are expecting their first baby any day now.
Garden Star 6. The Perfect addition to the Collection.
The Garden Star series was created to offer cohesive and harmonious designs, and this latest quilt is no exception. Each pattern in the series complements the others, making it easy to mix and match them in your quilting projects. Whether you’re creating a single quilt, a series of coordinated quilts, or one quilt that utilizes numerous baby blocks, you are sure to want to make them over and over again.
Quick, Simple, and Versatile
One of the standout features of the Garden Star Series is how easily your quilt comes together. Because of the way it is written and the diagrams you are given, you can put the top together without having to lay it out. However, I can’t help myself, because I love seeing the progress.
Fabrics Tips
– When I started thinking about creating this pattern series, I wanted to make it charm-pack friendly which makes this quilt even better. You can make it scrappy or if you love taking control of your quilt fabrics and don’t like a scrappy look, buy more charm packs .Maybe 3 or 4 of them so you can have the fabrics you want in the center of the quilt and then use the rest of the squares to create the quilt border.
-If you like buying the fabric bundles from my shop, which are 6 half-yard cuts of fabric, this series is the perfect way to use them. Any size you choose to make uses a bundle PLUS background fabric.
Garden Star 6 comes in a variety of sizes, ensuring you have the perfect fit for any project:
Baby Size: Perfect for a baby’s room or a wall hanging.
Throw Size: Cozy and perfect for snuggling up.
Queen Size: A stunning centerpiece for any bedroom.
But that’s not all! By making 4 or 9 baby blocks you can unlock even more possibilities. And I have done just that so stop by next Tuesday to see how the quilt I am working on turned out.
Gingiber fabrics
I am a huge fan of one of Moda’s fabrics designers Gingiber!! I always love the lines she creates. However, her newest line, Imaginary Flowers, is my absolute favorite!! I love everything about it, especially the main fabrics. The larger print, which is a flower, makes it perfect for backing and borders. The greens and pinks in this line make such a lush and lovely combination. There is a tiny flower print that reads as a dot which is another one of my favorite fabrics. Then there are the flower rows where different types and sizes of fabrics peek over each other. They are all so good!!

My brother always says having the right tool matters. It makes getting the job done easier and ensures that you get the job done right. For this project, there are not many tools needed but a few that will make your process easier. These are perfect for this quilt: Rotating Mat, Bloc Lock (make sure that it is larger than the block you will be trimming)
