Welcome back to Quilt Block Mania Tuesday! This month’s theme is all about “Drinks”, and I couldn’t resist putting a different spin on it with the Grey Goose Quilt Block. Inspired by the iconic flying geese design, this block has been a favorite of mine since 2015, when I first created it for a mini quilt swap. This block pattern will help you make perfect flying geese! Click here to get the pattern.
Whether you’re a modern or traditional quilter, the Grey Goose block is a versatile addition to any sampler quilt. But why stop there? This block can stand alone to create a stunning quilt all on its own.
Block Technique
The block uses paper piecing which created perfect flying geese. If you’re new to paper piecing, don’t worry! It’s a technique I love because it is an easy way to get beautiful results. And once you get the hang of it, it’s a breeze. Need a refresher? Check out my blog for a quick guide on how to paper piece.
But here’s the best part: for the entire month of March, the Grey Goose Quilt Block is free for you. After that, it will be available for purchase in my shop.
